Stamped, Colored, and Layered for Halloween

I layered orange cardstock on top of a black card then layered black cardstock that had been cut with decorative corner edgers.
The jack-o-lantern, cat, boo, and spider were stamped colored and cut out. I glued them to the card and used silver gel pen to add a string to the spider and a few lines around the jack-o-lantern's lid.

Bejeweled Poinsettia with Embossing

I stamped "Merry Christmas" on a burgandy oval. I used a foam holly leaf stamp to make the petals, also stamped on burgandy and embossed with clear ink and Red Dragon embossing powder. The middle of the poinsettia is a cluster of seven flat backed acrylic jewels. The twin gold lines down the side of the card are gel pen.

Christmas Tree with Sequins

I stamped the tree in green ink first. I went over the pot part of the image with an embossing marker and embossed it with gold fine line powder. For the final glittery touch, I glued red sequins to the tree for ornaments.

Halloween Dragon with 3D Effect

I stamped the dragon and colored with color pencils. The balloons are punched out of black and orange cardstock. The faces on the orange balloons were stamped with black ink. I rounded the balloons in the palm of my hand before attaching them with silicon glue, this gives them dimension - a simple 3D effect. The strings are hand-drawn.

Dragon Card with Masking and Embossed Lines

I stamped the bag first, I masked that and stamped the dragon behind it. Masking allows you to stamp images that appear to overlap without having the lines show through.

I embossed both of the stamped images with fine line black embossing powder. Both stamps are colored with colored pencils. The dragon's crown (not too clear in this photo) is punched out of holografic sticker paper.

Scarecrow Card with Cut Out

This card uses a custom-cut window.

I stamped the scarecrow on parchment cardstock and colored it with colored pencils. On the folded harvest gold cardstock I traced an oval on the front (to be cut later). I stamped leaves in brown ink along the lower edge. I cut out the top half of the oval and around the leaves with an exacto knife. This made a window that the scarecrow fits in.

Embossed Thank You

I stamped " Thank You" in tuquoise ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The quilt blocks along the lower edge are stamped in the same way. I colored the quilt blocks with colored pencils and used scalloped edge scissors along the lower edge to echo the scallop edges on the quilt blocks.
